SQL Reporting Specialist

The SQL Reporting Specialist responsibilities will include: writing reports to extract, analyze, and create static and ad- hoc reports for managers and senior stakeholders. This is an enterprise role reporting on a variety of data, primarily healthcare, however, it may include HR, finance, etc. in the future. The hiring manager is looking for a well-rounded professional with Microsoft SQL reporting experience, analytical ability, and a solid team player.
-Design, maintain, and document reporting solutions for the organization at large.
-Engage subject matter experts for source systems and gain an understanding of the data and underlying table structures used for reports.
-Create SQL scripts to accurately and efficiently retrieve data in order to build data sets for reports. This may include writing SQL queries, stored procedures, and views to extract the information, trends, or patterns contained in the data.
-Support and troubleshoot report issues. Maintain a Microsoft SharePoint library of Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services Reports.
-Validates the results of SQL queries with end users, and presents the data in an intuitive and visually appealing way, which may include tables, pie charts, bar graphs, or other diagrams.
-College degree in technology or healthcare related field
-3-5 years of IT experience
-1-2 Years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server and SQL Server Reporting Services experience.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
-Experience with healthcare data is a plus
-Familiar with Jira
-Working knowledge of SVN
Excellent communication skills are necessary as there are several teams and business owners regularly involved with reporting projects.
Must be motivated and able to work independently or with a team.
Must be comfortable working on tight deadlines and schedules.
