Senior Vice President

The Senior Vice President is a qualified person appointed by the governing board to develop new business initiatives, provide top-tier strategic counsel, maintain and deliver excellent client services, and to grow Pinnacleís visibility and reputation through development and implementation of a corporate culture conducive to high level success.  

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. A Bachelorís degree in a health related field with the preference being nursing.
  2. A Masterís degree in healthcare, marketing, or business administration.
  3. A minimum of ten (10) years of licensed home health supervisory experience at the multi-site level with sufficient background and knowledge in clinical decision making, quality improvement, customer service, business development, budgeting, strategic planning, and revenue management.
  4. Current knowledge of Conditions of Participation for Medicare home health, accreditation standards by CHAP, and/or joint commissions and specific state and federal guidelines in areas of operations for Pinnacle.
  5. Current knowledge of Conditions of Participation for Medicare home health, accreditation standards by CHAP, and/or joint commissions and specific state and federal guidelines in areas of operations for Pinnacle.
  6. Demonstrates experience leading through change in a competitive landscape with business development and growth in turn-around circumstances.  
  7. Experience in a healthcare system with strong matrixed organizational structure is a plus.

DUTIES 

  1. Provides effective leadership to the business development, operation and management of multiple home health services, locations, and employees.
  2. Organizes and directs all functions and activities to meet growth, profitability, quality, and compliance goals.
  3. Improves agency processes by setting clear expectations and providing mentorship to all levels of management.
  4. Works as a liaison with all divisions of US Medical Management and develops multi-departmental programs designed to foster ultimate patient experience of care.
  5. Maintains awareness of current homecare and hospice regulations and communicates information appropriately.
  6. Develops and implements culture training programs and ensures indoctrination of agency mission and values.
  7. Develops and implements budget and analyzes gross profit factors, market conditions, business volume/mix, competition, and operational costs to assure positive bottom line.
  8. Maintains ongoing liaison with the governing board, the professional advisory board, and USMM senior leadership through attendance and participation in appropriate meetings, taking required action on recommendations, and maintaining open lines of communication.
  9. Monitors, audits, and maintains compliance with all regulatory and agency standards and federal and state laws, including HIPPA, that govern home healthcare.
  10. Researches and develops new business opportunities through acquisitions, new product line development, and DE Nova home health openings, and ensures accuracy and timeliness of delivery of all CMS requirements.
  11. Contracts with various carriers and providers to perform home health services as part of ACOís, Independence at Home projects, transitional care initiatives, and managed care organizations for project deliverables such as reducing spend rate and decreasing hospital bed days.
  12. Serves as a delegated official for CMS 855ís, Medicaid applications, CLIA certifications, accreditation certifications, and state and local specific documents.
  13. Develops, implements, and monitors compliance with policies and procedures and provides oversight for ongoing activities related to quality improvement and patient satisfaction.
  14. Assures accuracy of public information and develops cooperative relationships with community agencies for exchange of information and services.
  15. Participation in local, state, and national associations.
