Account Manager

The Home DME is a partner of US Medical Management and owned by a Fortune 250 company. USMM had developed and owns several allied health properties, which assist in the provision of home based primary care and furthers the value and efficiency of house call medicine. These partnerships include, Hospice, Home Care, Visiting Physicians, Laboratory, Diagnostics, Homescripts, and Durable Medical Equipment.

The Home DME provides excellent service delivered by Professional Technicians who will assemble and demonstrate high quality medical equipment. The Home DME carries a full line of mobility devices and accessories that are delivered directly to the home.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Responsible for generating business from territory referral sources to meet Company goals. Conducts personalized visits to all external primary referral sources and interested parties and represents agency at qualified community events. Work with office staff to ensure that each referral is successfully received and processed. Implements and evaluates a territory sales plan and coordinates with clinical and operational leadership to ensure excellent service on behalf of the Company.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Seek and develop sales opportunities within the community
  • Drives profitable growth by spending majority of the time in the field developing a strong basis of referrals and recommendations
  • Drives growth by collaborating with leadership to establish a growth culture
  • Drives growth by surfacing barriers to growth and working with clinical, sales, and operational leadership to resolve these barriers to ensure customersí needs and concerns are addressed
  • Understands services and stays abreast of industry trends to better align and represent the Company advantage in the market area
  • Possess a working knowledge of other USMM divisions and collaborate with representatives of those divisions if determined appropriate by leadership
  • Develop strong brand presence and service reputation within the community
  • Utilizes company resources to ensure appropriate return on investment
  • Acts as a liaison between operations and referral source to ensure patientsí needs are being met
  • Attends and actively participates in any sales growth meetings (via conference call), regional meetings, staff meetings, etc.
  • Adheres to employee policies
  • Requires a valid, clean driverís license, dependable transportation and insurance
  • Ensures protected health information is kept confidential
  • Reports complaints made by patients or families to the appropriate individuals
  • Adheres to established personnel policies
  • Ensure care is provided with respect to patient rights
  • Reports neglect and allegations of patient abuse
  • Attends meetings and in-services as required
  • Creates positive image between colleagues
  • Demonstrates appropriate problem solving methods
  • Promote positive agency communication
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE

  • Three years of experience in customer service, sales, marketing and/or public relations

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field
  • Experience in the health care field preferred
