The HomeCare HomeBase Technician is responsible for training and supporting Grace Hospice/Comfort Hospice and Pinnacle Home Health divisions on the Cerner/Homeworks, HomeCare HomeBase, SHP, and TruCare software.


  • Monitor the system at the site level and system level to assure standards are in place
  • Provide training on select applications for HH and HOS
  • Analyze and ensure consistency in our training company wide
  • Transition/support users to use Help Desk ticket system
  • Troubleshoot system issues
  • Provide support to the end users for the software related to Home Health and Hospice
  • Provide supplemental training on the system for updates and version changes
  • Schedule/set up virtual training and assign training patients for both new hires and refresher trainings
  • System update/version testing prior to production install to end users
  • Communication and escalation of issues
  • Biweekly meetings
  • Importing supplies for both programs
  • Importing medications for Hospice CR8358 reporting
  • Create and update system documents for end users and team support
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Experience with HomeCare HomeBase EMR system
  • Minimum 1 year experience in Home Health and/or Hospice office related work
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all personnel levels within the organization
  • Knowledge of Home Health and/or Hospice regulations as it relates to CMS
  • Strong Computer Skills: Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Ability to quickly learn new applications
  • Basic computer and software troubleshooting skills
  • Time management and ability to multi-task
  • Professional demeanor, self-motivated, dependability, and organizational skills
