Position Description

The Physician Recruiter will be responsible for executing all phases of physician recruitment from initial contact through start date. Responsibilities will involve working closely with physician candidates, coordinating applicant interviews, participating in negotiation and closing deals, and initiating the hire process. The Physician Recruiter is responsible for creating and executing effective recruiting plans and managing the recruitment process.

Essential Duties and responsibilities

  • Responsible for candidate lead generation, prescreening and appropriate follow-up with physician candidates for designated practices
  • Responsible for sourcing new prospects and follow up with current candidates during each step of the recruiting process
  • Serve as liaison with candidate, Directors of Operations, Practices Managers and Vice President of Recruitment
  • Represent the company at association meetings and physician training programs†
  • Source candidates thru internet searches, physician job boards, email blasts, cold calling and various ad campaigns

REQUIRED Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Bachelorís degree in related field
  • Seven years of extensive recruitment experience
  • Three years of experience in hands-on recruiting
  • High degree of initiative, creativity and willingness to accept responsibility
  • High degree of judgment and independent decision making with regard to the analysis of applicant credentials, skill level and the subsequent referral of the applicant
  • Ability to interact effectively with physicians, colleagues and management
  • Exceptional organizational & multi-tasking skills to coordinate, track and triage each step of the recruiting processes
  • Resourcefulness and problem solving skills, with the ability to handle deadlines and changing priorities
  • A self-starter requiring minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present the Company in a positive manner to multiple audiences
  • Expertise with MS Office Suite, Outlook and Internet search
  • Self-disciplined in being able to work in a virtual office, flexible in being able to work evenings or weekends

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience in Physician Recruiting
